Lecture 4 (02/19): Chapter 1, sections 6, 7.

work due: work out example problems of sections 1.5-I.7.
Solve problems 1.1, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8.

Week 3:

Lecture 5 (02/24): Chapter 1, section 8, 9.
Lecture 6 (02/26): Chapter 1, review problem.

work due: work out all example problems of chapter 1.
Solve problems 1.14, 1.16, 1.17, 1.18, 1.19.
If time allows, solve more problems from chapter 1.
Solutions sent 02/26.

Week 4:

Lecture 7 (03/03): Chapter 2, sections 1-3.
Lecture 8 (03/05): Chapter 2, sections 3-4.

work due: study lecture notes for chapter 2 and the
example problems.

Week 5:

Lecture 9  (03/10): Chapter 2, section 4: example problems.
Lecture 10 (03/12): Chapter 2, sections 5 & 6.

work due: study lecture notes for chapter 2 and all
example problems of sections 4 & 5.

Week 6:

Lecture 11  (03/17): Chapter 2, section 6: example problem.
Lecture 12 (03/19): Chapter 2, section 6: example problem.
